And in France , last Summer… a lot of professional people from health sector came at GERONT-EXPO-HANDICAP EXPO 2009 in Paris – Porte de Versailles… PIERSON also benefited from this burst of enthusiasm !!!
GERONT EXPO-HANDICAP EXPO 2009 was inaugurated by Mr Brice Hortefeux, as Work, Social Relations, Family, Solidarity and Town Minister and Mrs Valérie Létard, as State Secretary for Solidarity, on 26th May 2009 and welcomed 13 000 professional people from gerontology and handicap during 3 days in Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles.
In 2009, there was a big attraction and an increase by 8 % of the number of visitors was registrated in comparison with 2007. GERONT EXPO – HANDICAP EXPO has been a reference fair for Gerontology and Handicap since its creation in 1995 and confirms the permanent enthusiasm of professional people from the sector. 350 companies chose to exhibit their products and services there as we also did. The new range of PIERSON chairs and above all the beautiful lifting chair “Club Guernsey” model were displayed as well as CIMA equipment for health establishments and institutions, hospitals and old people’s home.
We collected about 400 contacts of visitors who were mainly hospital staff and distributors. They asked many questions which emphasized the great interest in our products. For PIERSON, the new range was very attractive which reinforced the national and international fame of this well-known company. Thanks to the presentation of the new seat dismountable with clips and which is now standard equipment on all chairs and particularly on the chair special for bariatric people model 393, the success was complete including the specialised establishments which were numerous to visit our booth.
Now the fair is closed and everybody is working on all established contacts in order to get many orders. We hope that this fair in 2009 will enable us to receive enough orders from customers in order to make a balance with the big investments requested to participate in such event. However, in such particular economical situation, Health remains a really attractive field for the equipment of establishments and also for new services supplied for home keeping.
